Obit: Mancel "Mack" Smart, 73, Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of Kansas City, died Friday at a hospital in Las Cruces, N.M. He was born in Marionville, Missouri., and had lived in this area 40 years before moving to Las Cruces seven years ago. Mr. Smart worked for the Mahorney Furniture Co., 19 years before retiring as a truck driver 12 years ago. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bernice Smart of the home; two sons, Jack W. Smart, Bowie, Maryland and Daniel F. Smart, Colorado Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Justice, Lees summit and Mrs. Joanne Bisig, Hampton, NH.; a step-son, William R. Bradley, Virginia Beach, VA.; 4 brothers, Earl Smart and Chester Smart of Oklahoma; Curtis Smart, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Wayne Smart, Overland Park; a sister, Mrs. Murel Morris, Oklahoma; and 15 grandchildren. Services will be a t 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Muehlebach Chapel; burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.
