Former Legislator From Pettis Co. Dead. SAMUEL LOCKE HIGHLEYMAN, 93, WELL-KNOWN SEDALIA REPUBLICAN. Sedalia, Mo., April 2. Samuel Locke Highleyman, 93, former Republican State Representative from Pettis County, died today at his home here. He served in the General Assemblies of 1921 and 1923.
Highleyman came to Sedalia, In 1865. He served as a Deputy County Clerk later as a deputy United States revenue collector and in 1871, became claim agent for the M.K.T. Railway. He served afterwards as tax and title commissioner for both the M.K.T. And Missouri Pacific railroads.
He is survived by his widow formerly Miss Emma Logran and two sons, Wilbur L. Highleyman, Kansas City, and Locke Highleyman, Barcelona, Spain.
