EFFIE MAE GRAY
Last rites were held at the Pentecostal Holiness church January 15 for Mrs. Effie Mae Gray, 76, of Sulphur, who died January 13 at the Ardmore Memorial Hospital. Rev. Ray Ingram officiated. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery. Arrangements were by Clagg Funeral Home.
Born June 21, 1905 at Doyle, I.T., she came to Sulphur in 1912. She was a charter member of the Pentecostal Holiness church. She was married to Melvin Gray on May 23, 1925 at Sulphur.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin, of the home; two daughters, Lou Ann Bonham of Sulphur, and Wanda Knighten of Allen; one son, Paul Gray of Sulphur; two sisters, Lou Williams and Oma Elkins, both of Sulphur; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Gray.
