SSGT Rocco Carl Monetta died on February 27, 2002 in Claremont, NH where he had been born on March 27, 1929; the son of Michael and Carmella (Statuto) Monetta.

He served in the U S Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He married Betty Mae Osgood on June 20, 1953 in Claremont.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Jeffrey M. Monetta and his wife, Karen of Fenton, MI and John M. Monetta of Charlestown; two daughters, Mrs. Alan (Ann M.) Rozwadowski of Hooksett and Mrs. William (Lynn M.) Rodeschin of Lempster; four grandchildren, Jamie & Andrew Atherton, Jeanne & Barry Henry, Nicholas & Kelly Pitts and Layne Pitts; six great-grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" Atherton, Kelsie Atherton, Luke Atherton, Lauryn Henry, Victoria Pitts and Ava Pitts; one sister, Eleanor Ransom of Claremont and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
