LULA ? Graveside services for Alyene Vera Cooper, 92, Lula, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lula Cemetery, Michael Deweese will officiate.

Mrs. Cooper died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 29, 1912, at Stonewall to Lee and Veatrice Polk Cross. She attended school at Rocky Point. She moved to California in 1946 and returned to this area in 1993.

She married Joe Wilson Cooper April 10, 1929, in Ada. He died March 28, 1990. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a member of Melba Avenue Church of Christ in Atoka.

Survivors include one son, Bill Cooper and wife Nadine, Union Valley; six grandchildren, Linda Roberts, Bakersfield, Calif., Dennis Cooper, Bakersfield, Mila Loya, Tonkawa, Jo Ellen Bobo, Denton, Texas, Capt. Catherine Cooper, Fort Belvoir, Va. and Ross Cooper, Lula; and 10 great-grandchildren.
