Thomas "Sam" Bridges, 84, retired truck driver for Stephenson Concrete Co. and carrier for Jackson Sun, died Wednesday at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Funeral Home with burial in Center Hill Cemetery in Henderson County.
He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mr. Bridges, the husband of Rancey Gower Bridges, also leaves two sons, William Edward Bridges of Jackson and Billy G. Bridges of Franklin; two sisters, Hattie Spradlin and Addie White, both of Newbern; two brothers, M. W. Bridges of Mercer and Lester Bridges of Albuquerque, N.M., and four grandchildren.
