Edward Murdock ACHESON, formerly of Hickory, died suddenly, Thursday, March 10, 1960 in Montebello, Calif. A son of the late Smith and Margaret McNARY ACHESON, he was born in Hickory. He was a graduate of Hickory high school and Duff's Iron City College, Pittsburgh. He had resided in California since 1951. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant U. P. church, Hickory, and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are a sister, Clara R. ACHESON, and a brother, Reynolds Bertram ACHESON, both of Montebello; two nieces, Miss Lois ACHESON and Mrs. Mildred DALLMEYER, both of Hickory; two nephews, Raymond W. ACHESON of State College, and Matthew R.ACHESON of Venice. Funeral services were held March 17 in the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
