A graduate of Wesleyan College, she was a founding member of the Middle Georgia Historical Society. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, was a past circle president and was a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her children, Lester H. Mallary of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Elsie H. Love of Memphis, Tenn., and John Hart III of Monroe County; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
