Mrs. Helen Beth (Culpepper) Borland, age 75 of Chatham, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Potts, Sr.; parents, Archie & Venia Culpepper; two grandsons, David Hudson, Jr. & Michael Coody; one granddaughter. Cricket McMillan.
Mrs. Borland is survived by eight daughters, Pauline Millwood of Chatham; Charline Reeveas of Jonesboro; Jonnie Shumaker of Campti, LA; Jearline Hernandez of Chatham; Rosemary Smith of Hodge; Becky Dillon of Hodge; Carrol Goins of Chatham and Sandy McGee of Jonesboro; two sons, Jackie Potts & Daniel Potts both of Jonesboro; two brothers, Baskin Culpepper of Alaska; Raymond Culpepper of Coushatta, LA; one sister, Frances Tolar of Jonesboro; 27 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the family in the Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro on Thursday from 4:30-9PM and on Friday from 8:00AM until service time. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, April 2, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Dark & Bro. Hudey Beaubouef officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery of Weston under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Gilmore, Chuck Worthington, Heath Henson, Joshua Ethridge, Alejanoro Bellaz and Patrick Potts.
