GEORGE WASHINGTON DAVIS

G. W. Davis 74, father of two Nashvillians, died at 3 p.m. yesterday at his home In Woodbury alter a long illness.


Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today fit Leona Church of Christ near Woodbury. Burial will be In Center Hill cemetery, Cannon county.


The body is at the residence. Mr, Davis was a lifelong resident of Woodbury and a retired farmer.



Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Angle Davis, Woodbury; six sons, Fred W., Hoyte, Ernest, LonnIE , and J. W. Davis, all of Woodbury, and D. T. Davis, Nashville; three daughters, Mrs. Homer McBroom, Nashville, Mr. C. O. Mooneyham and Mrs. J. L. Jones, Woodbury; a brother, Bee Davis, Woodbury; 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
