HAUSFELD, Kacie J. 21 of Springboro died Thursday April 1, 2010.
She was a graduate of Alter High School in 2007 and she was a member of the Alter State Championship Volleyball team in 2003 and 2006. Kacie was a junior student-athlete at the University of Dayton and a member of the UD Volleyball team. She was a loving sister, daughter, and friend. She found humor in all aspects of life and never took herself too seriously. Kacie touched countless people in her 21 years and aspired to be a great teacher bringing joy to those she touched. "YOU'RE UNBELIEVABLE! "
Kacie was preceded in death by her father, Tom. She is survived by her mother, Lori, a sister, Alexis (Ali), paternal grandparents, Linie and Marie Hausfeld, maternal grandparents, Vernon and Treva Barhorst. Numerous aunts and uncles, Doug (Elaine) Hausfeld, Brad (Chris) Hausfeld, Glen (Jeannie) Barhorst, Randy (Denise) Barhorst, Mark (Vicki) Barhorst, Elaine (Jay) Sargeant, Theresa (John) Buscher, Mitch (Jill) Barhorst, and 21 cousins. Kacie also leaves her special friend, Aaron Pfeffenberger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:30 am at St Henry Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday 3 - 8 pm at the St. Henry Parish Activity Center, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm at St Augustine Cemetery in Minster, Oh. A "Gathering" will also take place Monday evening at the Frericks Center 9:00 pm on UD's campus for the UD community.
