Chas. Berry, 59-year-old farmer, residing near the Old Applegate School site on Highway 60, died at his home Tuesday afternoon with death being caused by a heart attack according to a verdict of the coroner's jury.
He had resided in the county nearly all of his lifetime and for many years had been a resident of the northern portion.
Berry went into the field to work shortly after the noon hour and returned about 2 o'clock complaining of illness. Upon reaching the house, he lived only fifteen minutes when death occurred.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the residence with burial in Rosebud Cemetery.
