Mr. Jesse James Haney, 68, of Cedartown, Rt. 5, passed away Monday afternoon at Polk General Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Little Cedar Methodist Church with the Rev. J. F. Wallace and the Rev. Roy Connell officiating. Interment in Sanders Cemetery. Mr. Haney was born, November 16, 1899, in Polk County and had lived his entire life here. He was a retired farmer. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, May 2, 1968, page 4)
