Mr. Norman J. Fermazin, 84, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2000 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born on June 4, 1916 in Aurora, the son of the late Carl and Margaret (Steil) Fermazin.
    He worked at Thor Power Tools and later retired from Furnas Electric. Norm was an avid golfer and enjoyed his gardening.
    He is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, Norman (Candy) Fermazin of Sandwich and Jerry (Jane) Fermazin of Aurora; one daughter, Claudia (Scott) Abel of Montgomery; one stepson, Gene Grosjean of CO; two sisters, Virginia Laycock of Aurora and Marge Farris of MI; seven grandchildren, Annette (Steven) Golz of Montgomery, Rick Fermazin of Aurora, Colette (Gary) Ramsey of Appleton, WI, Caryn Fermazin of Aurora, Jennifer and Matthew Abel of Montgomery, Jennifer Grosjean of CO; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew, Tammy and Paul White.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth; one sister, Betty Moser and one brother in infancy.
    Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. from The Healy Chapel, Aurora with Rev. Gerald L. Rygh officiating. interment will take place at River Hills Memorial Park.
    Visitation will be held on Monday from 9-11:00 a.m. at the Healy Chapel, Aurora.
