Death of Wilbur F. Chatfield, Formerly of This City
Wilbur F. Chatfield, formerly of this city, died at his home in Chicago of pneumonia, May 23d, aged 40 years. Mr. Chatfield was a son of the late Chester Chatfield of this city and a half brother of Mr. Philo Chatfield, the well-known retired builder of this city. He lived here until he was about twenty-four years of age, when he removed to Chicago where he was first engaged in the railroad ticket business and afterwards a cigar dealer. He was brother of Eugene Chatfield, who was a member of the New Haven Grays, and of Miss Fannie Chatfield, both of whom died years ago. The remains will be brought to this city for interment on Sunday.
