James P. Johnson, 66, of 1130 W. Fremont St., Kiel, died Wednesday at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.
He was born March 2, 1930 in Kiel, son of Adela Manz Johnson and the late Ray J. Johnson. He attended Kiel Schools.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1948-1949. He was employed at Kiel Woodenware and retired from A.A.Laun Company.
Survivors include his mother, Adela, Kiel; one son, Bob Johnson and friend, Jill, Algoma; one daughter, Patty (Samuel) Heimbecher, Surgeon Bay; one brother, F. George (Virginia) Johnson, Earlville, Ill; one sister, Carolyn Johnson, Plymouth and four grandchildren, Ryan, Cassandra, Alicia and Jeremy; further survived by one uncle, Glenn L. (Janette) Johnson, Salt Lake City, Utah and two aunts, Audrey C. Johnson, Rock Hall, Md., and Selma Manz, Kiel.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4, 1996 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel with the Rev. Raymond C.Coombs officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery Town of Rhine. Friends may call at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, from 12 p.m. Sunday, until the time of services.
A memorial has been established in his name.
