Tom's biological parents were John Laskowitz and Agnes Roth. John died when Tom was about 6 years old. He had five sisters and his mother had to place the children in an orphanage for several years before marrying Gabriel Taschler. Gabriel adopted all 5 of her children and their name changed to TASCHLER. Agnes and Gabriel had two sons together.
