She was a daughter of the late George Haskell Parnell and Jessie Pattie Campbell Parnell.
She was retired from Sports Wear Unlimited in Antreville and was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple in Iva.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Louie C. Parnell, Ralph Parnell, Floyd Parnell, Fred E. Parnell, and Hobson Parnell and sisters, Madge Charping Warren,and Willie Mae Warden. Her sister, Lucy McAlister died in 2010, and her last surviving sibling Betty Gentry died in 2016.
Married to Charles C. Jennings (1907-1959) before their separation in 1951,
she is survived by their three children, Patsy Ann Dutton, Charles Thomas Jennings, and Maxie Ruth Richardson,all whom she raised with diligence and care and sacrifice.
