Catherine Apgar, 93, formerly of Wilson Borough, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 in ManorCare, Palmer, exactly fifteen years to the day of her husband's passing. Born May 8, 1922, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Mary Barnhardt Odenwelder. Her husband of 55 years, John W. Apgar, died November 12, 2000. Catherine graduated from Easton High School Class of 1940 where she was a cheerleader. Her greatest joy in life was her family and her love for them. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Catherine was a life member of the PTA and a member of AARP and the Senior Circle. She is survived by a son, John J. Apgar and his wife Rebecca, of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Marjorie M. Restucci, of Forks Township; five grandchildren, Shawn, Shana and Shad Restucci, John Patrick and Mark Apgar; and six great-grandchildren, Tanner and Makenna Catherine Sandt, Taylor Catherine, John Zachary, Carly and Kaitlin Apgar. She was predeceased by a brother, Willard Odenwelder and a sister, Marguerite Bentham. Services will be held at 11am Monday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Monday 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
