Lincoln & Essie were divorced in 1924
Note that 1880 census Lincoln was living with the Huggins family as a servant and his name is listed as Lincoln Williams at that time.

August 2020:
D Byron #50524098 is working on DNA evidence to link Albert B. Mann as Lincoln's biological father, he's buried at Toronto Cemetery Kansas #21490419.

5/2/2021 update from Contributor: D Byron #50524098:
He went by the name Lincoln Williams until he had it changed to Huggins in court, where Charles' brother D.B. Huggins apposed it, because Lincoln was known to have black blood.
I had two DNA specialists verify the findings of his parents as Sarah Anderson McClain and Albert McMann. This was a 50 year mystery for the family, started by Shirley Huggins, then taken up by Janet Wallick, and then by Rebecca Cooley.
Patrick W ##47991426 provided middle name of Williams 12/2/21.

March 2023 update with help of Lisa Lutts #50997194 and D Byron . I am unlinking Sarah Anderson McClain #41377493 as his mother, more info has been provided that she was added by mistake.

April 2023 Lisa has been working with a new DNA expert to figure out the mother of Lincoln, because they are not convinced it was a descendant of the Williams' family. Please let Lisa decide who the mother is. Contributor: D Byron (50524098) •

Lincoln was a foster son of Charles and Elizabeth Huggins .He married Essie Richards and they raised 8 children.He farmed in HawCreek Twnshp. near Gilson ,IL.all of his life and served as a trustee on the Knoxville school board for 38 yrs.
