The Reverend Hugh W. Brown of Morgan Park was, as a young man, a circuit preacher in the Baptist church. He was ordained in Buffalo, NY and spent more than 20 years at various churches in Ontario, New York, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois. Later he became an Evangelist and preached at many revivals around the US. He had preached at Parsons, Kansas the day he died and was brought back to be buried at Mount Hope.
