Beautiful little angel sitting at the right hand of God...This picture was taken 2 days before Nathan died, he was playing in his Nanny and Grandpa Willie's back yard in the tree. He was the son of Harriet I. Greenlee Ritter and Jack L. Ritter, my sweet little nephew taken so young from a unforseen accident. (We will always love and miss you, untill we meet again in Heaven)

I have been emailed by many wanting to know what the unforseen accident was that Nathan had. I am going to post it now. This is very sad and hope each person reading this that have children please pay attention.

My sweet little nephew was visiting my parents, his grandparents house. The weather had just a slight chill to the air. Nathan wanted to go outside in the backyard to play so my mother put his little parka coat on him and neatly tied the hood up in a little bow under his neck, then sent him out to play while she made his lunch. This yard had a 5 foot picket fence around it, a shed to store things and stack of firewood next to the fence for those cold winter nights.

When time to come eat my mother called and called him. He did not come so she called my dad to help her look for him. They just could not find him. Panicked they got the next door neighbors on both sides to help look. This was a time before we had 911. As there is a major road to the back of the property my little brother said he would go that way to look for him. As my little brother talked to a gas station attendent on the back side of the property and asked have you seen a small child come from that direction and pointed to the house. This is when they both saw him hanging from that little parka hood on the back side of that firewood pile and fence. He was not visiable from the yard side. Nathan had hung himself on that fence from that cord that was so neatly and lovenly tied around his neck to keep his hood on. Nathan had climbed that pile of wood to see what was on the other side of that fence. We assume he fell, and if it had not been for that string he would have been okay. So please remove all strings from your childrens hoodies and parka's as they can be very dangerous. This has left a hole in all our hearts that will never heal.
