A veteran of 34 years in the Army, Chief Warrant Officer Ellis R. Lind of 3615 Carnes has been transferred from the Memphis Naval Hospital at Millington to the Army and Navy General Hospital at Hot Springs for treatment. Mr. Lind was flown to Millington last September from Japan, where he was chief clerk at Eighth Army Headquarters. He held a similar position in Memphis with the Second Army Headquarters during World War II. His daughter, Second Lieut. Elizabeth Jean Lind, was graduated on Jan. 20 as a flight nurse at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. A graduate of Treadwell High School, she received her nurse's training at Louisville, Ky., General Hospital.
