Millen, Marion Lafayette--died 13 Feb 1905. He was born in Morgan Co., Ill. In 1854, the family came to Gentry Co., Mo. and settled on a farm in Jackson Twp., north of where King City now stands. His father, John G. Miller was a well known citizen of Jackson Twp.. In 1861, he moved to Gentryville, Mo. for one year then to Albany, Mo. He clerked for awhile and was deputy sheriff. In 1870, he opened up the first bank in Gentry County. He married Miss Virginia B. Smith, of Gentryville, in March of 1861. Two sons Orin L., Albany, Mo & Dr. Richard A. Millen, King City, Mo. survive, with a sister, Mrs. John Whedbee, His wife died 6 years ago. Burial at Albany.
