Mrs. Jim Ross entertained Tuesday afternoon at her home for her son, John Tyson, on his sixth birthday. After various games and presentation of gifts, refreshments were served by the hostess. The guest list included Grace Edith Knod, Willena Cannon, Martha Jo Wilson, Joan Barnes, Himan Jamison, Bo Wilson, Junior Henry, Billy Ray Jones, Sonny Laster, Tom Luttrell, Olen Luttrell, Charles Barnes, Everett Barnes, Louise Rose [sic] and Mrs. J.E. Jamison.

Of Gillham Dies
In Texarkana
John Tyson Ross, 30, a resident of Dillard, Ore., died in a Texarkana hospital at 10 a.m. Saturday following a long illness. He had lived in Texarkana for the past few weeks.
He was born in Gillham, May 22, 1931 and was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fuller of Texarkana; four brothers, Clay and Custer Ross of Crossett, Wayne Ross of Gillham and Ralph Ross of Magnolia; three sisters, Mrs. E.E. Barnes of Grand Junction, Colo., Mrs. Allen Watson of Crossett and Miss Ruby Ross of Mountain Home, Idaho.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Gillham Methodist Church by Rev. J.M. Holman and Rev. Simpson. Burial was in the Gillham cemetery under the direction of the Wilkerson Funeral Home.
