Nettle is the daughter of Capt. Robert Clark Dow (May 18, 1821 Goffstown NH-Sept. 11, 1898 Manchester NH) and Emeline Poore (Oct. 25, 1824 Goffstown-Dec. 18, 1881 Manchester). She was born in Manchester but by 1862 had moved to Derry, and by 1870 to Lawrence MA. By 1880 the family was back in NH, this time in Manchester.
Nettie married on Feb. 3, 1883 in Manchester to Alfred Web, a widower who had been born in England. They soon moved to Danville VT, where Alfred's siblings and parents resided, and where their children were born. By 1900 they had returned to Manchester and by 1910 had purchased a property in Epping. By about 1915 they moved for the last time, purchasing a home on Birch St. In Derry.
