Augusta Emaline Zimmer was born in 1847 in Violet Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, daughter of Eli and Leah Derr Zimmer. She was also the granddaughter of Philip and Elizabeth Valentine Zimmer, natives of Pennsylvania and Maryland, respectively. On September 19, 1867, in Kosciusko County, Indiana, she married William L. Losure, son of Jacob and Rheuamy Wilson Losure. They evidently had no biological children, but had an adopted daughter, Leara Losure. Augusta passed away in 1922, in Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery there.
