EFFIE ELLIS
Mrs. Effie Ellis, 81, a former resident of Anderson, died this morning at her home in Owenton, KY.
Mrs. Ellis left Anderson to reside in the Kentucky city about 1946.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Verle McDaniel, Anderson, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren residing in the Anderson area.
A son, Marvin Ellis, died in 1953 in Anderson.
Funeral services haven been set tentatively for Thursday afternoon at the Kemper and Arnold Funeral Home in Owenton. Burial will be in that city.

OWENTON, March 28. --- Mrs. Effie Ellis died at her home here this morning of a heart attack.
She is survived by her husband, Flurry Ellis; three daughters, Mrs. Jettie Ellis, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Bernice McDaniel, Anderson, Ind., and Mrs. Dorsey Kemper, Owenton; two sons, Roy Ellis, Frankfort, and Robert Ellis, Nebraska, Ind.; a brother, Ernest Highchew, Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Flora Green, Sarasota; 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kemper and Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Owenton Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Death certificate #8592; 81 years old; died from coronary heart disease; buried on 30 May 1961
