Michael Speciale was born in the United States and then moved to Sicily when a child. During WWII he helped his mother, Domenica and three brothers survive the War while his father was in America. He had three younger brothers, Vito, Luigi and Andrew. Later on in 1948 he came to America with his mother and three brothers. He married Mona Sardi and had five children. He also worked for Dino Sardi in New York City. He became a chef and a great cook. He is buried with his uncle Salvatore Speciale.
