Born May 19, 1922, in Middletown, the son of Denny and Icie Victoria (Stanley) Peeples, he lived most of his life in Anderson. He retired from Lynch Corp. after 30 years.
Fred served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Southern Heights Christian Church, United Auto Workers Local 662, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrix "Bea" Peeples; and several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Steve Lane officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard.
Contributions may be made to Southern Heights Christian Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.
