Arthur McEwen
CARTWRIGHT. Funeral rites will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Yarnaby Friday at 2 p.m. for Arthur Robert McEwen [sic], 76-year-old well-known retired farmer, who died at his home here Tuesday after an extended illness.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Fudge, and burial, under direction of Gus Pool and Son, will be in the Yarnaby cemetery.
Born in Polk county, Tenn., November 1, 1879, Mr. McEwen had lived in Bryan county 45 years, and was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was marred to Miss Eva Lemly [sic] at Wapanucka June 19, 1904.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Luther McEwen, Ravenna, Texas; Tom McEwen, Bonham (Texas); Oscar, Arthur and Vernon McEwen, Concord, Calif.; and Robert J. McEwen, Denison (Texas); seven daughters, Mrs. A.C. Bass [sic], Ada (Oklahoma); *Mrs. Earl Burton, Yuba (Oklahoma); Mrs. Earl Burton, San Joquin [sic], Calif.; Mrs. Moses Jones, San Pablo, Calif.; Mrs. Calvin Combs, Cooper, Tex.; Mrs. Raymond Wilkinson [sic], Pauls Valley (Oklahoma); and Mrs. Ralph Caldwell, Concord, Calif.; 43 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
