William "Bill'' Brumley, 83, of Stoutland, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Christian Health Care in Lebanon. He was born Feb. 1, 1927, to Harrison and Bessie (Davenport) Brumley.
On Aug. 16, 1948, he married Ruby Witt in Iberia, who preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 1989. He also was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jimmy Brumley and Billy Brumley; a granddaughter, Amanda Brumley; a brother, Bob Brumley and two sisters, Gypsy Reinhart and Mable Durbin.
He was a member of Mt. Union Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Annie Mabee and her husband, Randy, of Iberia and Betty Thacker, of Lebanon; two sons, James Brumley and David Brumley, and his wife, Toni, and Larry Brumley and his wife, Rachel, all of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five sisters, Hazel Mosier, of Arkansas; Mary Scott, of Sedalia; Laura Strutton, of Independence; Jessie Luttrell, of Brumley, and Sue Witt, of Montreal.
Services for William "Bill'' Brumley will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Lanny Witt officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery, near Brumley.
