Funeral services for Colin Wade Hickman, 13, a Coalgate resident, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 2, at Coalgate United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Buddy Bolin officiating.

Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery, under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service in Coalgate.

Hickman, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Coalgate. Born in Ada on August 23, 1996 he was the son of Robert Wade and Fara [Burton] Hickman.

He attended Santa Fe School in Edmond and Guthrie Public Schools. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, where he was baptized.

Preceding him in death were his paternal great-grandfather, John Robert Hickman; maternal great-grandparents, Dave and Bernice Lawson; and a great-uncle, Jimmy Lawson.

Survivors include his father, Robert Hickman; his twin sister, Courtney D'Ann Hickman; and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Brenda Hickman, all of Coalgate; his mother, Fara Burton; maternal grandmother, Pat Demorest; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Hickman of Coalgate; and an uncle, Brad Hickman, also of Coalgate; great-aunt and uncle, Terry and Steven Rice; and godparents, Becky and John Powell, all of Coalgate; two cousins, Kristen Hefley and Craig Rice; a special friend, Brooke Penney; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Honorary Pallbearers were, Tim Brown and Perry Williams. Active Pallbearers were, Richard Orr, Clay Mowdy, Steve Penney, Jack Shirley, Billy Johnson, and John Powell.
