The funeral of Margaret First was preached by Elder George Hubartt, May 22, 1881, to a large and attentive audience of people.

Mrs. First departed this life March 30th, 1881, at her residence in Liberty township, Wells county, Ind. A husband and four children are left to mourn their loss.

(A death date of 30 Nov., 1881 that many researchers are using is incorrect)
