Jess E. Elliott, 85, a retired Percilla farmer, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ed Buller in Crockett, and double funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Rev. W. H. Weiting and Rev. C. A. West officiated at the services at the Percilla Methodist church and burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Elliott were T. H. Buller, Elbridge Elliott, Leonard Barnes, Stan Stanley, Sam Muckleroy and Willie Hayne Knox. . Mr. Elliott was born in Houston county Feb. 9, 1875. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maggie Elliott of Percilla; two sons, Marvin and Sam Elliott,both of Percilla; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Buller of Crockett and Mrs. Vella Whitaker of Grapeland; 13 greandchildren.
