Her first husband was Dr Wyatt Frank Anders (b 1835 Georgia-d 1861 Virginia), who died from battle wounds received in the civil war; they were married in 1858 and had one son (Franklin N Anders). In 1865 she married John Wright Fussell (b 1822 North Carolina-d 1877 Texas). Together, they had 2 more children (John Walton Fussell and Bettie Houston Fussell).
