"In Bristol, Ontario County, N.Y., on the 10th inst., Co. Nathaniel Fisher, aged 74 years. The deceased was one of the earliest settlers in Bristol, having accompanied his father there at the age of 12 years. He had lived on the spot where he departed life, for 62 years. Col. F. was a prominent citizen of the town. He bore an unblemished reputation for honesty and benevolence; and his departure is lamented by a wide circle of neighbors and friends. Among the earliest who united to establish a Universalist Society, and to erect a church, he was one of the foremost, and he was constant and liberal in the support of our cause to the day of his death. His funeral was attended at the Universalist Church in Bristol, on the 12th inst. A large audience attested by their presence, their appreciation of the virtues of the departed."
