I867 Census- Heinrich and wife Caroline Meyer Haefke and children Heinrich, Joachim and Caroline are living at Wilhelmshof, Ritteramt Sternberg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Daughter Dorothea had already emigrated to America.
In 1873, Heinrich and Caroline, ages in their 70's, departed Germany on the ship Roland. Son Heinrich and his wife and family were also aboard.
Heinrich and Caroline settled on a farm in the town of Newton. She died soon afterward.
On the 1880 Census, Heinrich is living with his widowed daughter, Dorothea Hafke Lindeman and her son, Carl LIndemann and family in the town of Liberty.
Heinrich died in 1887 of "bronchitis and heart failure."
