Adrian G. "Andy" McCarron, 58, died at home on Great Diamond Island ME on August 22, 2000, after a long battle with mesothelioma (cancer). He was born August 27, 1941, in Lewiston, Maine, a son of Joseph A. and Jeanette Amnot McCarron. He was graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelors degree and also attended and graduated from law school at the University of Maine with a law degree. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years.

Mr. McCarron practiced law with the firm of Melendy and McCarron in North Conway NH from 1986-1993. He most recently owned Old Port Title Company in Portland NH.

His special interests included history and sports, and he was a supporter of the University of Southern Mississippi athletic program. He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagle Club of Southern Mississippi Athletic Program.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Young McCarron of Great Diamond Island; his mother of Lewiston; daughter Michelle L. Neuville of Old Orchard Beach ME; son Michael P. McCarron of Boston MA; brothers Francis Peter of Fayetteville GA, Robert N. of Windham, and Stephen J. of Lewiston; and two grandchildren.
