Gene L. Purcell, 78, LaGrange, formerly of Greenfield, died July 11. He worked for American Natural Resources before retiring. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the LaGrange American Legion. Mr. Purcell was also a member of Meridian Sun Masonic Lodge, LaGrange; the LaGrange County Shrine Club; and South Milford (Ind.) Church of Christ.
