David Snow, 80, of Zion passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2000 at Zion Care and Rehabilitation Center, Zion.
David was born June 3, 1920 in Detroit, Alabama, the son of the late Henry and Roxie Snow. On December 31, 1944, he married Pauline Johnson in Detroit, Alabama. In 1950 they moved to the Zion area where he was employed at Johns-Manville Corporation from 1950 until his retirement in 1985. While his health permitted, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; sons, Frank (Janet) Snow of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Phillip Snow of Zion; four grandsons; four granddaughters; two great grandchildren; a brother, Murl (Opal) Snow of Zion; and three sisters, Ruby (Will) Norton of Vernon, Alabama and Etheleen Snow and Alice Jones, both of Detroit, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Snow Tucker; a sister, Stella Carrington; and by two brothers, Lawrence and Wash Snow.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at 10 AM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Rev. John Davis of Church of God of Prophecy of Zion officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
