N.B. In news stories of 1957, in court reports there is an Elvera identified as Mrs. Lloyd, with the implication that she is married to Lewis Elliott Lloyd, Sr. These same stories referred to her as the step-mother of Lewis, Jr. According to these stories, Lewis and Elvera at the time lived in Falkland, B.C. This would be Elvera Magdeline Graff Anderson (1906 - 1979).
Although Elliot and Vera never solemnized their relationship in a ceremony [note his death certificate lists him as widowed not married] they lived in common-law relationship and enjoyed each other's company for many years until his death. They did not have children together but were visited often by Vera's family in Sunset Prairie and were fondly referred to as Aunt Vera and Uncle Elliot by the Graffs. Some of Elliot's older grandchildren in their younger years also stayed with them at the farm from time to time and have many fond memories.
