Mary A., wife of Henry Nelson Nickerson, died at her home, 95 Main Street, at 9 o’clock this morning, of catarrhal pneumonia, following a severe attack of grip. She had been ill but a few days. Funeral on Friday at 3 p.m.
The news of Mrs. Nickerson’s death will be received with sorrow by a large number of friends. She was a most estimable woman, a devoted wife and a kind mother. For years Mrs. Nickerson kept a store on Main Street, dealing in women’s goods, and made many friends by her fair dealing with everyone.
Her first husband was William Goodwin Blauvelt, who died about twenty years ago, and by whom she leaves five children, G. S. Blauvelt, Renwick Blauvelt, and Goodwin Blauvelt, of Nyack; Mrs. Pauline Cranston, of Yonkers, and Mrs. Josephine Auryansen, of Piermont. Her second husband, Henry Nelson Nickerson, survives.
