Bill was a lightime resident of Richmond Virginia.He graduated from St. Christophers School in 1956 and The University of Virginia in 1964.During his undergraduate studies at UVA he was the captain of the baseball team and also a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. After school he served in The United States Coast Guard. Bill worked for the Reynolds Metals Company for 18 years and also for the Virginia Business Exchange at Anderson and Studwick. He was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and also many Richmond clubs including The Society of Cincinnati, The Jamestown Society, The Virginia Historical Society, The American Daffodil Society and The Country Club of Virginia.In addition he was also a member and longtime president of The Powhatan Hunt Club and The Chickahominy Waterfowlers Association.
