Samuel Condict (of Samuel Condict (1696-1777) and Mary Dodd (1698-1755)), married (1) Mary Smith b. 1733 - d. 26 May 177 & 2nd, Martha Carter (1774), widow of Stephen Wilcox.
Samuel is noted as Condit in the Condit authored/indexed books of 1885 and 1916, but history also shows his surname was Condict (with the second "c"). Source: Proceedings of the New Jersey Historical Society, New Series, Volume IX, 1924
(Death Records from an Old Diary, 1772-1778), NJ History and American Genealogy Project, which can be found online for this colonial surname and other colonial family surnames. His father was Samuel Condict also noted in the Jemima Condict Revolutionary War -era diary, however his gravestone is very likely misspelled on this site as Conduit.

Mary Smith and Samuel had two children: Jotham, b. March 27, 1775, and Samuel, b. March 1777. (Jotham is supposed to be buried at the 1st Presbyterian Churchyard, but there is no Find-a-Grave listing for him). He is listed in the Soldiers of the Revolution records as well as on the family memorial.*

Note: The famous Revolutionary War diary of Jemima Condict documents her grandparents as Condict (with the 2nd 'c" ).
Daniel Condict's will is documented in the NJ Archives at pages 89-90 of V.6 in "Documents Relating to Colonial, Revolutionary and Post Revolutionary History of the State of New Jersey (1781-1785) also called the Calendar of Wills ( V. 35). His sons, Joel, Amos and Samuel Condict were his executors. the will is on file in the Calendar of New Jersey Wills.
