Elizabeth May [Lee] Klein was born Dec.14, 1888, daughter of Heinrich and Elizabeth Meiser Klein.

She was one of 10 children: John Klein: Carl [Charlie] Andreas Klein; Margaret [Mag} Klein; Adam J. Klein,jr. and Rhinehardt Klein. All half-sisters and brothers. Name of mother unknown.

George Henry Klein; Jacobus Paulus [James] Klein; Anna [Bessie] Klein and Eva Klein. Full brothers and sisters. Mother Elizabeth May Meisse/Meiser.

At the age of 18, she married;
1) John Bernard (Ben) Jaehnen April 10, 1907. They had no children. Divorced.

2) James Marion Sandlin, date unknown. No children.

She was an excellent homemaker. Raised chickens, had a vegetable garden and many fruit trees. She canned all her vegetables and fruits and it was a beautiful sight to see all her colorful jars lined up on shelves. She was an excellent cook and her fried chicken and fruit pies were delicious!

Aunt Lee was a special aunt. The love and devotion she would have given to her own offspring were transferred to her nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful correspondent and visited family members whenever possible. She was generous, kind and loving...
