Funeral Tuesday for Jennie Burns, Former Teacher

Funeral services for Miss Jennie M. Burns resident of Buehler Memorial home for seven years, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Winzier parlors. The Rev. Edward D. Palmer, pastor of Bartonville Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in Blue Ridge cemetery near Chillicothe.

Miss Burns died Saturday night at 10:30 o'clock at the home following a year's illness. Formerly of Bartonville, she had taught schools in Bartonville, Oak Grove, Monica and various country schools for many years.

She was born near La Prairie Center, Ill., a daughter of George and Agnes Burns. She attended Illinois State Teacher's college at Normal. She was a member of Bartonville Methodist church.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Nannie O'Dell of Galesburg, Mrs. Susye Stephens of Redwood City Cal, Two sisters, Mrs. Isabel Gallup and Mrs. Elizabeth Reed, and two brothers William and Adam Burns, preceded her in death.
