Charlotte B. Essary, 78, of Nixa, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Sept. 21, 2006, in Christian Health Care East. Mrs. Essary was born Sept. 4, 1928, in Niaota, Tenn., to B.C. and Essie Hicks. Mrs. Essary is survived by her son, Gary S. Porter, and his wife, Sharon M. Porter, of Springfield; three grandchildren, Jody Hackley, Carrie Meetze and Elizabeth Murphy; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. tonight at Greenlawn East Funeral Home for a memorial visitation.
According to the Greenlawn records Charlotte was a cremation, she will not be found in cemetery unless family has scattered her ashes somewhere.
