Robert Lee Albin was born February 9, 1937, at his parents' home north of Wall, the son of Lee and Ruth (Kitterman) Ablin.
He grew up north of Wall, attending Lake Hill Rural School, and later attended school in Wall.
After his schooling, Robert worked for Jim Kalkbrenner for a time before working as a security guard for Boening during the installation of missiles in the area.
Robert later worked seasonal for the Forest Service in Wall, before working highway maintenance for the State Highway Department.
Robert was united in marriage to Arlene Joyce Harmdierks on September 25, 1965, in Rapid City. They made their home in Wall all their married life.
He loved to play the guitar, and an avid hunter and fisherman. As a young man, he enjoyed horseback riding.
Survivors include his sister Iva Eisenbraun of Wall; a brother-in-law Lerril Hinman of Rawlins, Wyoming; five nieces and nephews, Barbara Crawford of Wasta, David Eisenbraun of Wall; Norman Eisenbraun of Wall, Ruth Beckwith of Rapid City, and Rodney Hinman of Rawlins, Wyoming; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Arlene on March 23, 2007; his parents; one brother Dale Albin; and two sisters Beulah Jones and Gladys Hinman.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall, with Pastor Sheri Fadley officiating.
Interment will be in the Wall Cemetery.
A memorial is established.
