Thomas Walter May, 74, of Bogue Chitto, died of heart failure July 28, 1999, at his residence. Visitation is 4-9 tonight at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Floyd Higginbotham and the Rev. Tom Burris will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Mr. May was born Jan. 9, 1925, in Pike County. He was the son of William Enoch May and Etta Marsh May. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents and youngest son, Kevin May.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Aline McCormick May of Bogue Chitto; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas "Tommy" William May and Patsy May of Bogue Chitto; three daughters and sons-in-law, Reba and Bobby Cox and Melanie and Skip Mahnke, all of Bogue Chitto, and Martha and Cliff Ott of Osyka; seven grandchildren; and four great-granchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Mississippi, Inc.
